Yogik’s Cafe, Assi Ghat, Varanasi

A very modern, urban café near the hustle-bustle of the Assi Ghat. It’s a very cozy place where you can get quick bites to satiate your hunger. The entire space has been divided into the moods or modes, if I say, of the patrons. One can lounge while sipping coffee, others can have hot chocolate while working on their laptops. Some space has been demarcated for the book lovers, while seating space on the balcony is for the smokers and couples. This café serves the interests of varied customers. A flight of stairs leads you to the portrait of a modern Yogi. It’s an old house turned into a cafe with above-mentioned sections. There are a lot of Bollywood Posters hung around. There is a guitar as well, so if you are game for it, then you can play a couple of tunes for your friends.

Yogik’s Cafe Menu speaks a lot about it. They have everything from finger food to pasta to burgers and main course as well. The best time to be here, as in if you are exploring Varanasi, is in the evening right before the Ganga Aarti at Assi Ghat. Have your tummies filled up and then stroll to the ghat for some spectacular Ganga Aarti Darshan. P.S.: Don’t miss out the Hajmola Tea there

Like I started my post with the amazing interiors they have at Yogik’s Café, I am really fond of the concept that the owners have visualized. It’s a relatively urban concept, very new to the Holy City of Varanasi. You need to open your footwear before entering the café. Plus, there is Free-WiFi.

The food is really good. We tried a variety of dishes and beverages as we were literally dying of hunger. I would like to highlight some of the amazing dishes on Yogik’s Cafe Assi Ghat Menu.

  • Cream & Cheese Pasta
  • Veg Masala Paneer Rolls
  • Cheese Garlic Bread
  • Veg Masala Maggi

The taste of all the dishes were good albeit the Grilled Chicken with Mashed Potatoes & Steamed Rice was not up to the mark. The dish was too dry. The 3 Bean salad was also average. The other mains, fried rice and noodles were really enjoyed by us. The sandwiches were filling and great in taste.

Grilled Chicken Main Dish
3 Bean Salad

The one thing I lauded, apart from the interiors that is, is the beverages section. We had hot coffee, hot chocolate and a couple of shakes. Each and every one of them turned out to be praise-worthy.

My rating for the Yogik’s Cafe Varanasi :

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.
